CULTURAL PROGRAM

Every Sunday afternoon, a Khmer dancing class is held at the Center where children are taught the skills of Khmer traditional dancing (Apsara).

The class is held by a professional Apsara dancer who takes the children through the complicated steps which form this unique dancing style.

It is quite amazing to see children who have never seen traditional dancing before, quickly learn the movements of the feet and hands, and develop into graceful, beautiful dancers.

Both boys and girls take part in Khmer dancing classes.

The transition is quite amazing
